Brighter Futures
MYA has provided the 8 week Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) for parents attending Brighter Futures which is run every school term. Five courses have now been completed which have been very well received.
This summer MYA provided a 5 week introduction to yoga and mindfulness course with a Brighter Futures keyworker.
The Bridge
MYA has provided weekly yoga sessions for the Staff at the Bridge, and this was being extended to parents attending the centre.
Although these had to stop due to social distancing they will hopefully restart in September.
Jersey Recovery College
MYA has worked with JRC team to provide bespoke mindfulness and yoga courses.
Initially the mindfulness course was a four week introductory course, however, due to the COVID-19 situation two courses have been run online over 6 weeks.
The course is co-facilitated by a MYA mindfulness teacher and a peer trainer.
MYA has also co-facilitated an introductory course to gentle yoga.
Further mindfulness and yoga courses will be run in the Autumn.
Child & Adolescence Mental Health
MYA has provided regular yoga sessions for CAMHS staff.
Yoga courses have been run for young people attending CAMHS and also the inpatient unit.
Cheval Roc
MYA is currently piloting a chair yoga course at Cheval Roc residential and nursing home. So far we have been able to run the sessions outside, looking over the sea.
